United Voices of Literacy is a grassroots 501(c)(3) focused on strengthening the greater Los Angeles community, one student at a time. UVOL’s individualized approach is highly effective, working one-on-one with students who struggle with reading, writing, and comprehension. The program reflects the growing body of research supporting structured phonics and the “science of reading,” particularly for students who have struggled in traditional classroom settings. The organization also reflects Margot’s long-standing interests in literature, education, and practical ways to support young learners.
